I wish to represent the life and character of the land and sea. I am inspired by the flow of energy that moves in nature with emphasis on the shapes and forms found in water and wind to provide the background to the focus of, the often overlooked, leaf or plant.

The body of my work is in giving a style or shape to the rhythm of the energy of nature, such as the waves of the sea flowing around my pots. My ceramics often give a focal point to one of the many details of nature that need to be looked for to be truly seen. These details enrich the pieces and create a contrast or support for the energy and flow of their surroundings.
